About Mission Denture Centre
Mission Denture is truly a family operation. Ron followed in his father's footsteps when he became a Dental Mechanic, as the profession was known. in 1981. His father, Zvonimir, was one of the early licenced Dental Mechanics in the early 60's, practicing in Vancouver and then Penticton briefly until his passing in 1978.
Ron's mother, Luise, worked as a Dental Lab Assistant for many years in Vancouver.
Bonnie, Ron's wife, worked many years as a Certified Dental Assistant in Penticton and now is the office manager for Mission Denture Centre.
When Cameron was deciding his future, he did not have to look far and decided to join the family business and become a fully licenced Denturist. He now works with Ron providing the resident of the Okanagan with all their denture needs.
Meet Our Team
Denturists:
Ron Skok
Ron was raised in the Lower Mainland but spent many of his summers in Kelowna, with his parents and brother, visiting with his parents' close family friends. After completing his training at NAIT in Edmonton and his internship in Kamloops, he moved with Bonnie, his future wife, to Penticton. There they started their family, having two children, Heather and Cameron. After 17 years, they pulled up roots and moved to Kamloops, but when the opportunity to move back to Kelowna arose, they took it and gladly returned in 2007. He is delighted to live in Kelowna and enjoy the beauty of the lake and the Okanagan lifestyle.
Cameron Skok
Cameron grew up in the Okanagan Valley and has enjoyed every minute of it. In 2014 he started his post-secondary education at Okanagan College for Business Administration. After two years of schooling, Cameron made the decision to take up the family business, following in his Dad's footsteps as a Denturist. Graduating from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2019, he returned home to begin his career. He greatly enjoys giving his patients an improved quality of life with proper treatment solutions and is always eager to learn more to deliver quality to his patients. In his spare time, he loves to golf and play soccer as well as soaking up the sun on the lake.
Office Manager:
Bonnie Skok
Bonnie came to Kelowna with her family at the age of six and completed her education there. She attended Okanagan College to become a Certified Dental Assistant, then moved to Penticton with Ron and went to work with one of the local dentists until the move to Kamloops. At that point, she took the opportunity to stay at home to raise the kids. Upon moving back to Kelowna, she took on the role of office manager in Mission Denture Centre, applying her dental experience to the front desk. Bonnie also loves the lake and spending time with her extended family, who also live in Kelowna.
